Hash from Lebanon is available in two varities, Yellow and Red. Both varieties are made using the sieving method similar to Morrocan Hash.
Yellow Lebanese hash tends to be made from the first flowers of the season grown in the Baalbek valley, while Red Lebanese is made from the later flowers and hence the darker colour.
Hash from the Lebanon has become more available in recent years and can be bought easily in the Netherlands (red variety) at a reasonable price. Good Red Lebanon is quite potent in strength and smooth on the palate. Yellow Lebanese hash is rarely seen these days and therefore reporting on the quality is difficult.
